Pre-school literacy classes
3 year old Letterland
Children MUST be 3 years to enrol, and can begin this program at any intake during the year. It suits 3 yo kinder (or pre kinder) children who are showing an interest in letters and sounds, and have good fine motor skills & concentration. Children must be fully toilet trained and be ready to be left independently for the 45 min class.
**Parents and carers are welcome to stay until their child feels comfortable.
What we do:
Introduce all 26 letter sounds plus the 5 long vowel sounds.

(free choice of multi-sensory activities to enhance the learning)
Puzzles, sand, play doh, games, magnets, Letterland dress ups and more!
*At home time the children receive a sticker and a Letterland library book to share with you at home.

Letterland
Children should be in 4 yo kinder or if in their first year of kinder, have already turned 4 to enrol. It is aimed at the year prior to school. It is NOT a pre requisite that your child has attended 3 yo Letterland. Although you may enrol at any intake during the year, it is highly advisable to begin at the start of the program. This class is drop off / pick up, however parents & carers may stay until their child is settled.
What we do:
Introduce / re visit all 26 letter sounds plus the 5 long vowel sounds
Letter formation - whiteboards, writing worksheets and Letterland writing rhymes.
Letterland craft
Letterland Songs for each sound
Word building - blending 3 letter words
Sight words
* At the end of class the children receive a sticker and either a Letterland Library book or reader to share with you at home.
